about

Nancy Cranbourne, Artistic Director of 40 Women Over 40, has been a professional choreographer, teacher, actor, and performer for over 25 years. She has choreographed for over 50 productions, performed for numerous dance companies, been in a few movies, written and performed award-winning original plays (with cohorts Patti Dobrowolski and Molly Thompson), and choreographed too many musicals to remember. Nancy has taught for Cornish College of the Arts, the University of Washington, Colorado State University, the National Theater Conservatory, and currently teaches at the University of Colorado and in the Boulder community. Her passion is continually developing the beautiful tribe that is 40 Women Over 40. Working with them every week gives her life incredible happiness, purpose, and meaning. What gives her deep satisfaction is creating theatrical productions with her longtime collaborators; Wade Madsen, Patti Dobrowolski, Molly Thompson, and Linzee Klinkenberg. What honors Nancy is having such spectacular artists such as Katie Elliott, Wade Madsen and Gabriel Masson set their beautiful work on 40 Women Over 40. How much writing, acting, and dancing can a group of people get done while talking so much and laughing so hard? The core of Nancy’s heart is the love of her life, Mike. He surprises and delights her daily with just more love. Without Mike none of this would be possible. Nancy’s sweetest gift was the recent birth of her niece and nephew, Ruth and James. She is most grateful to her brother Frank and his beautiful wife Carrie for bringing them into this world and placing them so gently in her heart.
